LANDING ON “THE STRIP”
On August 26th, at 11:18, the C5-M landed on the KSC Shuttle Landing Facility. The landing was incredibly smooth, almost impossible to feel the touch down. The first pilot, Michael Cory, gave us this historical document, the strip of paper with the landing data.
1st Lt. Kathleen Ferrero from Headquarters Air Mobility Command (AMC) Public Affairs wrote this nice article, telling the story of a flight which has been somewhat unique also from the AMC point of view.
Our baby has been safely delivered to the new world!
A warm thanks to the 14 members of the crew, really very nice and professional people!
